Ahmed Gallab’s silky vocals and his live band (Jason Trammell, Mike Montgomery and Mikey Freedom Hart) combined form Sinkane who have a 70s funk sound that has tinges of old school afrobeat. Their music has a revolutionary feel reminiscent to Bob Marley and Fela Kuti. Plus the name Sinkane is derived from the revolutionary story of Joseph Cinque, who led the Amistad rebellion.
